Our goal is to provide radiological safety and control in accordance with our philosophy to keep personnel and public exposure As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) and to comply with federal and state regulations. ORS maintains and ensures compliance with the Institute’s radioactive materials license issued by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. We encourage the beneficial use of ionizing radiation in research while attempting to minimize exposure to all Georgia Tech personnel and to the general public.
